How important is Consistency?

If you know me, you’ve probably heard me say many times that in my experience in network marketing, after one year, someone who consistently puts 10 hours every week into their business will come out way ahead of someone who puts in 40 hours this week and then nothing for the following 3 weeks and then 40 hours the next week, etc.

Even though the net hours invested in their businesses would be the same after one year, the person who worked their business just 10 hours every week, even though it seems much less “explosive”, will be much further ahead due to one principal…

Consistency

Why is consistency so important?  The overriding principle that determines how a network marketing organization is going to grow is a concept called Momentum.  Momentum is an extremely precious thing in network marketing.

Momentum is what makes it easy for a diesel engine on a train to keep that train moving hundreds of miles across the country in a single day.  Once that train stops, how much energy does it take to get it moving up to cruising speed?  A lot!!  But keeping it moving once it’s moving is very easy.

It’s the same with your our business.  Once it’s moving, the most critical thing is maintaining a consistent activity level that will KEEP it moving.  You can’t let it slow down or stop because it takes a lot more energy to get it back up to speed than it did to just maintain the speed you already had.  Be consistent and do something for your business every day!
